Each handprint will be printed on handmade paper coated with cyanotype photosensitive chemicals. You may choose one of two types of kits
Kit 1. Is a sheet of paper ready to expose in the sun by placing your hand on the paper and not moving it for about 20 mins.. You can then return it to me or rinse it out yourself, let it dry, then return it to become a part of the future exhibit. This kit is by far the most popular
The cyanotype chemicals are good for about 3 weeks so please be prepared to do your kit soon after you recieve it.
Kit 2. Is a sheet of Mylar or tracing paper with ink and roller to make a handprint,just like a fingerprint, which you will return to me for printing and processing. This process is for cold areas where one may not want to sit outside for 15 to 20 mins.
Each Kit comes with complete instructions.The hand prints are beautiful in their simplicity but you may decorate your handprint if you wish. Write on it, use other objects for photographic shadows, paint, draw, sew, silkscreen or anything else you can think of. The hand prints are yours and you have creative license to represent yourself in any way you wish. Handprints may be anonymous, or not, however you want to be counted.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Several people have requested numerous kits for their support group(s) to do together. I think this is a beautiful idea and I can think of no better way to share the experience then to do it with others involved in your healing process. If you would like to do this just let me know how many kits you would like and I will mail them to one location.
