I am also collecting personal stories to go along with the hand prints. They will be put into a large volume (or volumes) to accompany the show. The stories will be ink jet printed on handmade paper that has been made from cotton garments donated by survivors of childhood sexual abuse. You can put whatever information you wish on your page(s), tell a little of your story, your whole story or tell how it has affected you as an adult. Write a poem or draw pictures, do as you wish. There are no page limits.
I ask that no full names of abusers be used unless they have been convicted of the crime.

A CALL FOR COTTON
One way to make this project about everyone of us is by using paper made from garments that we survivors have worn. Cotton rag paper has always been made of just that, cotton rags, so if you have an old shirt, dress or other garment that is 100% cotton I would love to have it. By using our garments I will have a wide variety of paper to print on. You can send the garment back with the hand print if you choose.
